Philosopher Martin Buber once said that an animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language. When you meet the soulful gazes of the animals I paint I hope you’ll come to believe that it’s true.
This young lynx, (aka; Kimberly) was at a photo shoot we did in Montana. A mousy looking baby she ended up being such a “Ham” and what a great find. I’ve painted her several times and never get tired of that wonderment in the eyes.
