The unique blending of athletic talents between horse and rider has had a dramatic impact on who we are as a people. Thousands of years of this symbiotic relationship sped the pace of civilization. Humans could travel farther, faster, could till the fields longer and more efficiently, and could open important avenues of world trade.. This original acrylic painting was inspired by a trip to Kashmir and Afghanistan in the early seventies. It was during a time of chaos as the war between India and Pakistan had just broken out.
